EDI Strengthens its Corporate Action Service by Adding Coverage of Structured Products

Exchange Data International Adds Structured Products to Worldwide Corporate Action Service.

London, February 4th, 2008, Exchange Data International (EDI), a specialist in the aggregation of Reference and Corporate Actions data announces the integration of Structured Products into its Worldwide Corporate Actions database. The addition of these instruments is a considerable enhancement to EDI's Corporate Actions and the Security Reference File services.

Jonathan Bloch, CEO and founder of Exchange Data International said, "we have responded to our clients' demands for us to include Structured Products in our coverage. EDI has worked closely with a consultancy team to understand their special characteristics and unique Corporate Actions of these instruments. Our Corporate Actions service now offers a comprehensive coverage of all worldwide equity instruments."

The popularity of Structures Products varies according to individual financial markets. Thus far EDI has integrated the following instruments into its database:
  • Close Ended Funds, Investment/Income Trusts or Listed Investment Companies
  • Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs)
  • Principal Protected Notes
  • Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs)
  • Split Capital Trust or Split Share Corporation
  • Stapled Securities
The expansion of WCA coverage in terms of financial securities completely reflects how EDI operates: always focusing on meeting its clients’ ever-changing needs. Besides taking on the challenge of integrating these rather complex instruments EDI has broadened its expertise in Reference and Corporate Actions.
